Sorry, we're sucking enough, thank you

I understand the attitude of the NHL towards the Blackberry Guy After all, the ratings have tanked, you can't find it on American TV and it's in danger of being overtaken by soccer and lacrosse. And here comes this smart, successful business guy from Ontario who loves hockey, who wants nothing more to own a hockey team, who can inject not only some business savvy but some life back into the league (not to mention offer a good discount on blackberrys). Who does he think he is? No wonder the NHL has refused to meet with him.

As we saw with the Pittsburgh deal, the NHL seems more than willing to accept Blackberry Guy's money, but not his opinions. I can understand, a little, at trying to keep a team in Pittsburgh. But in Nashville? The league shouldn't have expanded there in the first place and now that Blackberry Guy wants to move them to an area where there is actually ice, the league is stonewalling. Of course Toronto and Buffalo should be worried if a team moves to Hamilton. It might make both of those teams do something drastic, like get better players.

I'm sure this will all work out in the league's favour, as these things always seem to do. If Blackberry Guy gets denied and the league continues to spiral downwards, this might become the 'TSN Turning Point'.
