While I Was Moving....

Bought my first house and, as expected, was very busy. A few things I missed:

1) The Death of Capitalism - well, it was fun while it lasted.

2) David Foster Wallace Kills Himself
This was a big shock to me. I read Infinite Jest as an impressionable university student and it made an impact on me. A few years later I read A Supposedly Fun Thing I Will Never Do Again, one of the funniest and most poignant takes on the alienation of consumer culture. He also did a piece for Rolling Stone about McCain in 2000 which has become eerily predictive.

He will be missed.
