Digital Millennium Copyright Act

The government wants to pass a draconian DMCA law that would make it illegal to break any digital lock (meh) or violate end-user agreements (outrageous!). It makes the government step out of the way of making copyright law and allow the entertainment industry (you know the people who came up with the $20 CD that has 2 good songs on it and also the ones who killed Napster) make up whatever rules they want.

You can do something about it - send a letter to your MP. This link makes it incredible easy to do so. If you own an ipod or have ever watched a movie or a television show on the Internet, then it's in your interest to have your voice heard.
