A final director's cut is due out soon (has it been 25 years already?) which definitely states that Deckard was a replicant. Bit of a disappointment that -- the version that came out in the '90's made it more ambiguos. If he is a replicant, how come he is not as strong/fast as the others?
(I also have a theory that relates Harrison Ford's popularity to his early movie roles, where his ass gets handed to him. Indiana Jones, Blade Runner, Star Wars -- if you go back and watch, for an action hero is rather inept. Part of the appeal, I think)
